From 6 June 2025, all Queensland property agents and licence holders — including real estate agents, salespeople, auctioneers and resident letting agents — are legally required to complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) each year in order to maintain their licence or registration.
These requirements are set by the Queensland Office of Fair Trading (OFT) and apply across the property industry. CPD is not simply a compliance task — it is designed to ensure agents remain current with legislative change, professional standards and evolving industry expectations.
